with Disabilities, aimed at providing social security and enhancing the dignity
and self-respect of such people with a special focus on women and children. The
approval for the policy was given at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime
Minister Manmohan Singh, on Thursday evening, Information and Broadcasting
Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi said on Friday.

Grants will help low-income people with disabilities

The Yates County Chamber of Commerce sent its annual notice to members in its group health insurance program. The notice is a repeat of most past notices; rates have gone up again, this time an average of 15 percent in the Blue Cross/Blue Shield program and 10 percent in the Preferred Care program.

The county probably will have to buy about 380 new voting machines. The current machines cost about $4,000 each, said Elections Board Director Shirley Secrest, but officials won't know for at least a week how much the new system will cost. The county hasn't looked into the cost of the optical-scan system.
