The Jamaica Teachers' Association (JTA) has so far not fully embraced the associate degree. Patrick Smith, senior secretary for Member Services and a former president of the JTA, is urging caution. The matter should be carefully reviewed "because it is not something many Jamaicans are familiar with; we are not yet clear on it," Smith said on the Power 106 show, 'Good Evening Jamaica' last week.

New MBA program puts high-tech spin on management degree
uwnews.org, WA - 18 hours ago Initial response to the new program was high with more than 1,500 inquiries soon after UW Business School Dean Yash Gupta announced the new degree last May.
The program begins with students meeting for three days, Wednesday, Jan. 3, through Friday, Jan. 5, at the Salish Lodge and Spa in Snoqualmie. While there, students will get a class overview, listen to high-profile business leaders speak and form study teams. Classes resume next Monday, Jan. 8, in Bellevue at the UW Continuing Education Center. Saturday classes will be held in the Seafirst Executive Education Center on the UW campus.
